International Winter School “Paradigm Shift - a New Philosophy of Science”

From March 31 to April 6, the Faculty of Humanities of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is hosting an International Winter School on the topic of “Paradigm Shift – a New Philosophy of Science.” The event is a collaborative effort between the Department of Kartvelian Studies at Frankfurt University (Dr. Mariam Kamarauli), Tbilisi State University (Prof. Darejan Tvaltvadze) and the Academy for Digital Humanities – Georgia (Prof. Manana Tandashvili).

The International Winter School aims to provide the young generation of humanitarians with theoretical knowledge about the nature and forms of paradigm shifts in science, as well as to develop their skills in the acquisition and practical use of modern technologies and tools of digital resources in humanitarian studies. In the 21st century, the new philosophy of science required a reinterpretation of the basic concepts of knowledge and resources. Accordingly, the technologization of research has led to the need to create a new type of knowledge, which, in turn, has led to a paradigm shift in science and the formation of a new philosophy of science. These issues are being discussed within the framework of the International Winter School, in which undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students at Georgian universities are participating. After completing the program and presenting their papers, they will receive international certificates.
